Davey Todd is an International Road and circuit racer from Brotton, United Kingdom. He took his first International Road Race win in 2019 at the International North West 200, followed by P3 in the headline Superstock race. He is the current IRRC Championship leader, after taking a double win in the opening round.

His first tarmac championship was the Thundersport GB Elite Stock 600 but his gained attention when he started to compete in the National Superstock 600cc Championship in 2016, where, riding for Morello Racing Kawasaki, he finished in an impressive sixth place with race wins at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch and fourth at both Silverstone and Donington Park.

Davey continued with the same team in 2017 and third place in the opening round of the National Superstock 600cc Championship at Donington Park made him one of the favourites for the title.

This year saw Davey turn his attention to Road Racing and he continued his success there. Taking two fourth place finishes as well as fifth place in the Open Race at Skerries and with strong performances at both the Barry Sheene Festival at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough and the Armoy Road Races.

August 2017 saw him make his Ulster Grand Prix debut where he took a  2nd place finish in the Dundrod 150 National Race which led into the feature race day on Saturday. He prepared for his 2018 season, where he would be a newcomer at the North West 200, Isle of Man TT and numerous Irish National road races.

2018 was Todd’s first full road racing campaign.

At the North West 200, the 22-year-old was named the top newcomer after a number of brilliant performances. A series of confident rides saw Davey finish 12th in both of the Superstock races and also the opening Superbike race with his consistent run followed up by an impressive 13th place in the feature NW200 Superbike race.

At his debut Isle of Man TT he took 16th place in the opening Superbike race and 12th place in the opening Supersport race. He went on to take P10 in the Superstock race where he set a lap of 127.890mph becoming the fastest newcomer of the event but also the Fastest ever newcomer in TT history, second only to the current Fastest Road Racer in the World, Peter Hickman. He finished his 2018 TT campaign with an impress P9 in the festivals headline Senior TT race, and increased his lap record to 128.379.

He walked away with the TT Newcomer Trophy, TT Privateers Championship and the RST ‘Star of Tomorrow’ for 2018.

Continuing his road racing season he took podiums at both Walderstown and Faugheen. Heading into the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man to take more podiums and securing himself the title of Fastest Newcomer in the history of the event but also, the 8th fastest rider of all time.

At the Ulster Grand Prix Todd placed 4th in the Superstock race and in the Supersport race. Unfortunately he took a fall at Deer’s Leap whilst chasing a podium position in the Superbike race.

Todd finished his 2018 season with Ninth place around the challenging Guia circuit at the Macau GP.
